Discover Rincon Argentino

If you're in the Boulder area and craving a taste of Argentina, Rincon Argentino is a must-visit. Located at 2525 Arapahoe Ave A-5, Boulder, CO 80302, this cozy restaurant delivers authentic Argentine flavors that transport you straight to the heart of South America. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a spot that quickly becomes a favorite for its delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and vibrant culture.

The menu at Rincon Argentino offers a delightful array of traditional Argentine dishes, with a focus on grilled meats, or asados, that are the backbone of Argentine cuisine. One of their standout dishes is the empanadas, flaky pastries filled with savory ingredients like seasoned beef, chicken, or even cheese and spinach. These are the perfect way to start your meal, with a balance of rich, comforting flavors that don’t overwhelm the palate.

For the main course, nothing beats a juicy, tender steak. The restaurant’s parrillada (mixed grill) features an assortment of meats cooked to perfection over an open flame. The bife de chorizo (sirloin steak) is a crowd favorite, and for good reason-it's cooked just right, with a smoky exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior. Pair it with a glass of Malbec, and you're in for a true Argentine experience. For those who prefer something lighter, there are delicious seafood options like grilled shrimp or fresh fish, often prepared with an Argentine twist using chimichurri sauce-a vibrant, tangy blend of herbs, garlic, and vinegar that adds a burst of flavor.

The ambiance of Rincon Argentino is another highlight. The restaurant is small, with rustic wood accents and colorful decor that evokes the charm of an Argentine estancia. It’s the kind of place where you can easily imagine enjoying a meal with friends or family, sharing stories and laughter over a hearty meal. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the warm, inviting vibe. Whether you're coming in for a casual lunch or a more leisurely dinner, the staff makes sure you feel like part of the family.

If you’re not in the mood for a full meal but still want a taste of Argentina, their selection of appetizers and tapas is the perfect way to enjoy a bite or two. You can’t go wrong with a plate of chorizo or morcilla, both are staples in Argentine cuisine. For a more adventurous option, try the provoleta, a melted provolone cheese topped with oregano and chili flakes. It's a simple dish but bursting with flavor-perfect for sharing with a group.

As a local, one of my favorite aspects of Rincon Argentino is its ability to create a sense of community. On weekends, the restaurant often hosts live music nights, where you can enjoy tango or folk music while indulging in mouthwatering food. It adds an extra layer of authenticity to the experience, and it's one of those things that sets Rincon Argentino apart from many other dining spots in the area.

What also makes this restaurant stand out is the consistency. Every time I’ve visited, the food is top-notch, and the service is just as reliable. The quality of the meats, the flavor of the sauces, and the attention to detail in each dish are the reasons why locals return time and again. It’s clear that the chefs at Rincon Argentino take pride in their craft, using fresh ingredients and time-honored cooking methods that keep customers coming back for more.

For dessert, Rincon Argentino offers a variety of sweet treats, including the beloved dulce de leche flan and churros. Both are indulgent and perfectly finish off a hearty meal. The flan, in particular, is a standout-smooth, creamy, and complemented by a generous drizzle of caramel sauce. It's a dessert you won't forget, and if you're anything like me, you'll find yourself craving it long after you've left the restaurant.

Overall, Rincon Argentino in Boulder isn’t just a place to eat; it's an experience. From the flavorful, expertly prepared dishes to the warm, inviting atmosphere, it captures the essence of Argentine hospitality. If you're looking for an authentic meal that transports you to another part of the world, this is the spot. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, you'll always leave with a satisfied stomach and a smile on your face.

  • I just came back from a trip to South America, ham and cheese empanada was good, beef empanada I didn’t like it at all, maicena alfajor was dry and the Freddo package gelato was re frozen 1/2 melted inside, stuffers were very nice

  • This is the real deal - delicious, cool decor, authentically Argentine restaurant. We were thrilled to find this place on our way home - delicious empanadas, el lomito sandwich and ended with the sweet mini empanadas (don’t miss - worth the calories!!) Service was great - you order at the counter and sit down where they bring your food to you. Lots of seating - would be a great place for a big group! We tried the traditional, Gaucho, Choclo and jamón & queso empanadas - we both agreed the jamón & queso was our favorite. Easy parking. We almost missed this place as they are in the far corner. Outside seating when it’s nice with a view of the mountains. Definitely hope to return!

  • I would not call myself an empanada person. Usually they come with too much bread and low quality fillers. Not so here. Just the right amount of phyllo dough, with wonderfully spiced and plentiful meat fillers. Fantastic! We're coming again. The following is definitely a minor gripe. Maybe this is played out, but at places like this, you should not have a tip option at checkout. We wait in line to order, and bus the tables ourselves. IMO, no tip necessary for that. Get rid of the option.

  • Outstanding! Beautiful restaurant and super friendly staff. I ordered the traditional, spicy beef, the gaucho. Three was the perfect amount for a big lunch. Tons of flavor. I loved em! I noticed they also have frozen ones to take away. These would be great to grab and take to a party. Highly recommend!

  • Cute and spacious, fun and authentic vibes. The empanadas are amazing! And so are the sandwiches, today we got bbq chicken, steak and mushrooms and they were all so delicious! Really friendly and engaging staff! Ive been here multiple times over the years of living here and Rincon never disappoints!

  • Great experience. I had encountered feelings since I’m native from Argentina. So I’ll try to be fair enough. I loved location. I loved the ambiance. Pretty cool. Food-wise Empanadas, I didn’t try them all but they are solid. I recommend protein ones like Criolla, since they are a little pricey. The place is a little pricey in general. Sandwiches are ok. I think they are a little thin. Chimichurri was ok but I’d try to change the recipe that way the sandwich is more enjoyable even. I’m also Alfajor lover, so this is where my feelings were encountered. Since I liked empanadas but I totally disliked the alfajores. Classic one: No dulce de leche at all, I felt even bad for buying it. Totally dry and No DDL was not good way to finish the experience. I decided to try one more… Alfajor de Maicena. It was pretty dry too, but even when didn’t have too much dulce de leche, it was way more than the classic one. So at least I felt better when leaving.
